The WHRO Great Computer Challenge - Level 2 (3rd-5th Grade) CODING (Visual Programming/Block Chain Programming Sign Up)

The Great Computer Challenge is a joint project of WHRO, the Consortium for Interactive Instruction and Old Dominion University! This is a fun and competitive opportunity for students in Kindergarten through 12th Grade to demonstrate their knowledge of various computer applications and programming skills.  Student must be enthusiastic about gaining computer skills and work exceptionally well in a team setting.  

  

Level 2 Visual Programming/Block Chain Programming-

Teams will create a digital story or a game using Scratch (Level 2).  Solutions will be evaluated on creativity, originality, demonstration of technology skill, programming practices, and fulfillment of the problem’s requirements. You can see examples of past problems here:  http://education.whro.org/2-uncategorised/260-problems-from-2019

Practices for Level 2 Visual Programming/Block Chain Programming will begin Thursday, February 13th from 3:30-4:30 in room 108.

We will open the practices to TEN 3rd-5th grade students to start.  The final team will be made up of 3-4 students.

Allergies? - If so then what?

If your child attends the YMCA after-school program. (This is for safety reasons.)
