Need proof of why visual and performing arts are so important to elementary education? Check out this incredible VIDEO created by Maks Rees including original footage from Grant and Logan Silva - all of whom got a great arts foundation during their time at Walnut Acres!
Now through 10pm this evening, log on to the online auction site and donate to this cause at the level that works for you.

Simply click on the Fund a Need - Tax Deductible item that matches the dollar amount you would like to contribute, add it to your cart, and accept our deepest thanks! With your contribution,  this Fund-a-Need will bolster Walnut Acres’ visual and performing arts programs in several ways:

  1. Bring the Art in Action curriculum to our school, along with essential art supplies. Art in Action’s programs of sequential, age-appropriate lessons provide a high-quality visual art curriculum to develop students’ critical-thinking skills, creative confidence, hands-on skills, visual literacy, self-esteem, and appreciation of other cultures.
  2. Benefit the performing arts program by allowing the school to purchase much-needed audio visual equipment for the MUR.
  3. Support the salary of a qualified instructional aid to Mrs. Ryken for performing arts instruction, including our children’s annual grade level shows and monthly sing outs.

Even in a pandemic, the show must go on! Thank you for your support!
