The 2023 Walnut Acres Art show is here! The reception is Thursday evening, May 11th from 6-8pm.

It's time for the Walnut Acres Art Show! In this fun, non-competitive event, the MUR is turned into a modern art gallery for one night only. The show features art awareness class displays, as well as individual student art. The art awareness teachers have diligently worked with your students all year long, come see the fabulous art they've been creating. One piece from every students will be included in the show. All families are invited to tour the gallery reception on Thursday, May 11th from 6-8pm.

Enter the Show:

We invite every student to enter the art show and display their individual artwork. Please encourage your student to create a unique art piece and display it at the show for everyone to see. All types of art are welcome. Individual Art Show Entry Forms due May 8th! To sign-up, please read through the show entry directions and submit your entry form online by Monday, 5/8. 

Art Show Key Dates:

Monday, 5/8: Last day to submit entry form online

Wednesday, 5/10: Drop off labeled, ready to hang art in MUR between 7:45-8:15am

Thursday, 5/11: Art Reception, 6-8pm

Friday 5/12: Pick-up artwork in MUR between 7:45-8:15am

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: We also need volunteers to set-up and take-down the Art Show, and bakers to provide treats at the reception. The biggest volunteer push will be setting up on Wednesday, 5/ 10 during the school day. It’s a really fun event and we need your help!  Be on the lookout for a sign-up form this week.
