It was so great seeing all the smiling faces at Jag Day yesterday! 😁 And THANK YOU so much to our amazing Jag Day volunteers. It truly takes a village, and the Jaguar village is one of the best! 🐾💙

Check the list below for your Jag Day follow ups and make sure you're set for the start of school tomorrow!
 

1. If you were unable to make it to Jag Day, Submit your Emergency Card
   1. Drop off your form in person to the office before school starts Thursday or
   2. Email your emergency card to the office at ortegay@mdusd.org and then you can receive your teacher assignment
2. Join your classroom on Konstella - this is your source for parent to parent, room parent, and PFC communications
   1. Konstella Website:
      1. Click on your Name on the bar on the top left hand side
      2. Select “Your Children”
      3. Under Classroom, Click on “Join Classroom”
      4. Click on the appropriate Classroom/Teacher Name
      5. Your children and your parent record are now a part of that classroom
      6. Repeat for additional children, changing the tab at the top.
   2. Konstella Mobile App:
      1. Click on the Settings Cog Icon in the upper left hand corner
      2. Click on “Your Children”
      3. Select your child’s name.
      4. Click on “Please select your classroom”
      5. Click on the appropriate Classroom/Teacher Name
      6. Your children and your parent record are now a part of that classroom
      7. Repeat for additional children
3. Purchase your Classroom Emergency Food Kit. Last day to purchase is August 21st!
4. Review School Supply List or you can purchase a kit here. All supplies are optional (but appreciated). If you have any questions, please email Tary Acebey at schoolkits@walnutacrespfc.net.
5. Order your 2026-2027 Walnut Acres Yearbook here for the early bird price of $25. Our School Code is 10053. You can also purchase and create congratulatory ads for your 5th grade student on the same site.

A few other announcements:

1. Back to School Coffee will be at 8am tomorrow at the lunch tables. Please join the PFC Board in celebrating the start of the school year! 
2. The first PFC meeting of the year is on August 18th at 7pm and all are welcome and encouraged to attend. The meeting will be held on Zoom. Meeting link will be sent via email & on Konstella the day of the meeting
3. Back to School Night Schedule - 
   1. Tonight August 5th, TK & K Only - 5:30pm - 6:30pm
   2. August 12th
      Kinder, 2nd & 4th Grades: 5:30-6:10pm
      1st & 3rd Grades: 6:15-6:55pm
      5th Grade: 6:15-7:30pm
