Dear Walnut Acres Families,
As you may have seen, beginning tomorrow, September 1st, the district is now requiring proof of full COVID vaccination in order to volunteer on campus. The office is asking volunteers to provide proof of vaccination BEFORE signing up for volunteer shifts, to make sure their status is documented and cleared. You can email your vaccination card to the office at firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com. The office will keep a running list so you will only have to do this once.
As a reminder, the following volunteer requirements and protocols are still in place:
1. Volunteers must be fingerprinted
2. Volunteers must be TB tested every 4 years
3. Volunteers must be cleared by MDUSD before volunteering on campus
4. Volunteers must wear masks while on campus
If you are looking for a place to do fingerprinting, The Postal Annex in Walnut Creek (across from Heather Farm Park) or Concord (on Oak Grove Rd near Trader Joe's) offer this service. TB tests can be done at the Minute Clinic at CVS Pharmacy on Bancroft Rd. Please allow up to 30 days to be approved by the district.
If your are a 4th of 5th grade parent - it might be time to redo your TB test. Once your have your TB clearance, send to firstname.lastname@example.org
