Walnut Acres International Fair: Small World, Big Dreams 
When: Friday, Apr 17th from 4-7:30pm
Where: Walnut Acres Elementary School on the Black Top

We are happy to announce that the 3rd Annual Walnut Acres International Festival is coming up on Friday, April 17th. 

Over the past two years, Walnut Acres Families have hosted 35 countries, and over 1,000 people have attended our event. Without Country Hosts,  we could not make this fabulous event happen. Please join us in hosting this fun event again this year for our kids and our families!

This fair will introduce Walnut Acres students to different cultures from around the world.  Students will get a 'passport' stamped as they travel from country to country, learning how kids in other countries play, live, dress, eat and perform. 

Every family (or families) hosting a country will need to prepare an introduction board and at least one display item for the event. We will provide a blank board for your use. The hosting families can represent their country by preparing their food, crafts, dress, games, etc. Your time and expense is considered a donation to the event and our community.  Please note, what you prepare or present is your choice. 

This year, we want to focus on games. If your country has a fun game, please plan to share it at the event.  

Do you have a cultural performance?  Please sign up! We ask each performance to be 5-10 minutes in length. Please include details like type of performance, number of performers, and any facility needs. 

A big thank you to all of the families who sign up to volunteer as Country Hosts or to give a cultural performance.
