The 3rd annual Walnut Acres International Fair is scheduled for April 22nd, 4-7:30pm. This fair will introduce Walnut Acres students to different cultures from around the world. Students will get a 'passport' stamped as they travel from country to country, learning how kids in other countries play, live, dress, eat and perform. We want to celebrate and educate about our diverse community at Walnut Acres, and that means we need your help! There are many ways to get involved in this wonderful event.
Is your family from another country? Or is there another country that interests you? We are looking for families to be country hosts and set up a table at the fair. We have families signed up for over 25 countries so far, but we there are still many countries with only one or no representation (Canada, Colombia, France, Greece, Russia, India, Iran, Jordan, Pakistan, Poland and South Africa are just a few of the countries without hosts). The hosting families can represent their country by preparing their food, crafts, dress, games, etc...it's completely up to you! Don't see your country on the list? Email firstname.lastname@example.org and we will add it! Sign up here!
Do you have a cultural performance? We would love for you to share it with our school! These can be dances, songs, demonstrations, poems, games, etc. We ask that performances are 5-10 minutes in length. Please include the type of performance and any facility needs. Sign up here!
Want to help in other ways? We need many volunteers to make this event a success. We are looking for volunteers to assist with check-in/welcome tables, set up, photographers/videographers, and clean up crew. Sign up here!
We welcome all questions and suggestions for this event. Please email email@example.com
