Hi Walnut Acres Families,
You received an email message yesterday from MDUSD Superintendent Dr. Robert Martinez sharing that Public Health Officers and County Superintendents in six Bay Area counties, including Contra Costa, have announced they will officially extend the suspension of in-class instruction through the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year. The full joint public statement is available here. We will be distance learning until June 3rd.
We are currently re-visiting our late April and May PFC activities, programs, and fundraisers. We will keep you updated with Konstella announcements, but please consider joining us for our April PFC General Meeting this next Tuesday, April 15th at 7:00 P.M. We will host a Zoom conference call. The call details will be sent out to you through Konstella on Monday.
At the meeting, you will hear from Principal Luong with her monthly "State of our School", review our draft PFC Budget for the 2020-21 school year with our Treasurer, Marty Keese, get an update from Kristin Shopp, VP of Activities on our PFC Event Calendar, and I'll talk about PFC Board Nominations for next school year. We are committed to maintaining the level of support our non-profit provides to Walnut Acres Elementary, and look forward to the time when we can see you and your children's smiling faces in person once again!
Stay Safe & Be Kind To Yourself,
