Dear WA community,
Our Committee completed our second to last Community Drive of our two-year commitment.
Thank you for your contributions. Our book drive was successful! We received many amazing books to pass on families in need. This year, we chose Early Childhood Mental Health Program in Richmond, which is a Community Program that provides Mental Health Interventions and Education to very young children and their families who face adversity. Our drive was so successful that we still were able to give a box full of books to "Books for the Barrios", a program committed to build libraries for children in rural communities in the Philippines.
Here is the thank you note that we received and wanted to share with you. “Thank you soooo much for those amazing books! I can’t believe how many. I was able to sort through them all. We are sharing the “wealth” across all our programs and also plan to give books out to families at some of our upcoming community events”.
My heart always feels full when reaches out to the community that needs us, specially if includes young children! But this couldn't be possible without your help!
Thank you again for being such a giving community. We invite you to support our last drive from May 11-15 to support the SOAR food program to fight hunger.
Sincerely,
Griselda & Ana
P.S. I'm attaching pictures of both programs. Our box arrived just in time to be shipped to Philippines.
