The second community donation drive of the year starts tomorrow! Please join us to ensure that we have a successful second drive!
The Walnut Acres Elementary Thanksgiving Food Drive starts Monday, November 2nd and will last through this Friday, November 6th. Our hope is to fill baskets with Thanksgiving Food for the families of a local elementary school in need of extra support this season.
When: November 2nd – November 6th
Where: Donations can be left outside the office
What:
- · Non-perishable food items
o Peanut butter
o Canned tuna/meat
o Canned fruit
o Canned vegetables
o Pasta and rice
o Canned/dried beans and lentils
o Canned chilis and soups
o Enriched Cereal
o **No glass please
o **Please check the expiration date
- · Medium sized baskets (~10-14” x 6-10” and ~3.5-5.5” deep, give or take)
- · Gift cards (grocery store, Visa) to allow a basket recipient to purchase fresh items for Thanksgiving
- · Handmade cards: if your child feels like making a thanksgiving card to send good wishes to a family please deposit the card inside the envelop that will be outside the main office
Please also sign up if you are able to volunteer to help us fill and wrap the baskets on Thursday November 12th. We will meet on campus. Please sign up on Konstella here if you are interested!
