Dear Walnut Acres Families,
Did you know that our school doesn’t have a dedicated PE teacher? Historically, PE has often meant laps around the track—but we know our kids need more. This year, we’re inviting parents to help bring PE to life in a fun, engaging way.
We’re looking for parent volunteers who are passionate about fitness, movement, or sports and excited to share their ideas with students. Unlike many other volunteer opportunities, this role is about leading—not just assisting. You’ll get to shape the activities, introduce new games or skills, and inspire our kids to move, play, and build healthy habits.
A few key details:

You may volunteer for your child’s class/grade or another class/grade if that works better for your schedule. You DO need to have district volunteer clearance to volunteer.

You don’t need to be a professional coach—just bring energy, creativity, and a love of physical activity.

Whether it’s yoga, soccer drills, obstacle courses, or fun fitness games, the sky’s the limit!
