STEM & Science Fair Thursday, February 7th 

Delivery and Set Up on Wednesday, February 6th 11:30am - 1:30pm and 6:30-7:30pm
Judging Thursday, February 7th between 8:30 am - noon

New this Year! A Walnut Creek business, Carollo Engineering Group,  will provide our student judges for the STEM & Science Fair. 
Family Open House Thursday, February 7th 2:30-4:00pm and 6:30-8:00pm
Projects Taken Home Friday, February 8th 2:30-4:30pm

We Need Parent Volunteers! please volunteer to assist with collecting your young scientists for judging, helping with judging, set up on Wednesday and clean up on Friday. Go to: Volunteer Sign Up to register.

Student Council Supports the STEM & Science Fair

During the Family Open House on February, 7th 2:30-4pm and 6:30-8pm, Student Council would like to sell baked goods.

Baked Goods Needed! Have a favorite recipe? please drop off baked goods on Thursday, February 7th in the MUR after school. Please label the baked goods if they contain peanut, dairy or gluten. Baked goods will sell for $1.00 each with funds raised going towards the STEM & Science Lab.

Random Acts of Kindness Week, Feb 10-16

 In honor of this week, Student Council will be selling KINDNESS bracelets. Bracelets are $5.00 for two, "ONE TO WEAR AND ONE TO SHARE". Wear your KINDNESS bracelet the week of Feb 11-15.

Sales will take place after school Tuesday, February 5th and Wednesday, February 6th.  Sales will also take place during the STEM & Science Fair Open House, 2:30-4pm and 6:30-8pm. Money raised will support Community Service Day at Walnut Acres.  Questions? Help us make this year’s auction a success! The majority of items we bid on during auction come from YOU! Do you have airline miles or hotel points you’re not using? Tickets to an event? An idea for a party you could host? By donating an item or hosting a party, you can help raise big funds for our school. Want a Diet that Works?
Consider donating your favorite bottle of wine or champagne to the 2019 Live Auction.  All your extra calories will immediately melt away and think of the “buckets” you will fill! Wine donations can be dropped off at 115 Los Banos Ave or 1079 Springfield Drive. ($20 minimum value per bottle please).

5th Grade Parents! Sign up to Volunteer at Drive Thru for the month of February! 

For the month of February, please help us in the Drive Thru line as we open doors and greet students while they are arriving at school. It's a fun way to start the school day! Just like last year, each month a different grade will be asked to help out at the Drive Thru.
We need 4 helpers each day, dads are encouraged to join us on Father Fridays!
Can you help for 20 minutes in the morning? 7:40 - 8:00 a.m. If you've never helped, one of the Drive Thru coordinators (Cathy or Sarah) will be available to provide guidance. Thank you!  CLICK HERE to sign up!

Share Your Walnut Acres Pictures with the Yearbook!

We know many of you take pictures at school events and would love to share them with the yearbook.  Please upload them to the yearbook website following these directions. Remember the more pictures we have from you the more pictures we have of your student!!

  1. go to: hjeshare.com Enter school code walnutacres
  2. Click "select images for upload". Click "Browse for Images".
  3. Locate our images, click on them, then click "Open".
  4. Enter the information for each image. Please include "grade(s) of students" and provide the teacher's name if known. For "student(s) shown", type N/A.
  5. Click "upload images".

Remember to buy your yearbook for $35.00 at www.yearbookordercenter.com. Enter school code: 10053 to purchase with credit card.

Happy Birthday Wishes on the Marquee

Support the PFC and put a smile on your child's face! For $25.00, you can say “Happy Birthday (Your Child’s Name)" on the Walnut Acres electronic Marquee from 7am-9pm on your date of choice. To purchase, go to the Birthday Marquee Sales Page in Konstella. The deadline for submitting an order is the 25th of the month prior to your child's birthday. So if your child has a birthday on February 1st, please place your order by January 25th. Questions?
