WOW! Weather! Assembly with Meteorologist Paul Deanno

Visits to dozens of Bay Area schools, including Walnut Acres, inspired many of the stories found in Paul Deanno’s “WOW! Weather!” book series.  His latest book, “WOW! Weather! Hurricanes”, will teach your child all about how the biggest storms on Earth form, how they get their names, and how they make the ocean rise as high as a giraffe!  Bring your copy of “WOW! Weather!” or “WOW! Weather! Hurricanes” to Paul’s weather presentation & book reading at Walnut Acres Elementary on November 14th… and Paul will sign it for you! Find it on Amazon.

3rd Grade Parents! Sign up to Volunteer at Drive Thru in November!

For the month of November, please help us in the Drive Thru line as we open doors and greet students while they are arriving at school. It's a fun way to start the school day! Just like last year, each month a different grade will be asked to help out at the Drive Thru.
We need 4 helpers each day, dads encouraged to join us on Father Fridays!
Can you help for 20 minutes in the morning?  7:40 - 8:00 a.m.  If you've never helped, one of the Drive Thru coordinators (Cathy or Sarah) will be available to provide guidance. Thank you!  CLICK HERE to sign up!

If you missed out on ordering a Walnut Acres Recycle Club “Spork Pouch” last time around, now you get the chance.

Please fill in an order form and drop it off in the provided box at the WA office. Please include cash or a check made out to Monique Pickering.

Thank you for your support of the Recycle Club and being a part of the change! 100% of the proceeds go to the Recycle Club to bolster awareness, sponsor field trips, and buy Recycle Club supplies for our school.

Keep your eyes open for the Terracycle https://www.terracycle.com/en-US/ boxes we will provide during lunches to recycle bar wrappers and food pouches!
