"Discover the World" at the International Fair - Friday, April 22nd

The Walnut Acres International Fair is less then 2 weeks away! Join us on April 22nd from 4-7:30pm to "travel around the world" and learn about other cultures and experience the rich global diversity we have at our school. There will be activities, education, performances and a food truck.

We have family hosts from over 30 countries and several performers, but we are still looking for additional representation. If you would like to volunteer to be a country host/co-host or do a short performance (dance, sing, read a poem, demonstrate a game, etc.) please click this link to sign up. 2022 Walk-A-Thon - Friday, April 22nd

Lace-up your sneakers and start your training! This year's Walk-A-Thon will be held April 22nd. The Walk-A-Thon is a fundraiser that challenges students to run as many laps around the designated track. The money raised goes to sustain our PFC-initiatives such as reading and math specialists, teaching assistants, science aides, and our STEAM instructor.

Check your email for a link to your student's personal online fundraising page.  Please ask friends and family to donate to support your child in the Walk-a-Thon.

Walk-a-Thon falls on Earth Day this year and in honor of that we’ll be collecting used sneakers to donate and be repurposed. Dig out those outgrown, dirty sneakers and drop them in the box by the office starting Wednesday, April 13th

Mark your calendar for the morning of April 22nd. Parents, friends and family are invited to watch and cheer from the blacktop this year! If you're interested in volunteering, click here

Lunch Duty volunteers needed
The sign-ups for lunch duty volunteers have been extended through the rest of the school year. We need parents daily to help supervise students during lunch and on the playground to make sure they play safely, as well as assist in cleaning the tables between student lunch shifts. A sign-up for Wednesday shifts was also added on Konstella.*A reminder that to volunteer on campus, you must be fingerprinted, have a current TB test AND be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 with your proof of vaccination on file with the office. TB tests are good for four years. Parents of 4th & 5th graders - it may be time to redo your TB test! The Minute Clinic at CVS Pharmacy on Bancroft Rd. does walk-in TB tests. For more information on volunteering check out the MDUSD website.*
