Come to the Walnut Acres courtyard for ice cream, toppings, and our traditional live entertainment by the Northgate High School Marching Band (many of them are Walnut Acres Alums!).  The band should arrive around 6:30-6:45.

Got Aluminum Cans and Plastic Bottles?

A big thank you to Mike Jahnke for collecting our recycling every month. Every first week of the month Mike brings the recycling donated by YOU to the Martinez recycling plant and brings back cash $$ which is then donated to our Recycle Club. We will be putting this money to good use to make our school a more sustainable school. September 9th-13th bring your cans and plastic bottles (please, no glass) to the monthly collecting station by the drop off zone

News from the Recycle Club/Sustainability Committee
In case you missed the news last school year, Walnut Acres won the Leadership Award for Achieving a 75%+ Recycling Rate last year. YAY WALNUT ACRES! Way to go!!! You can marvel at the plaque in the MUR, on the wall to your left right by the entrance.
On Jaguar Day PlanetRenu was able to fit out lots of our parents with sustainable lunch packaging. And they donated 10% of the proceeds back to our PFC. We just received a check for over $70 thanks to our parents all wanting to help our planet and make their kids lunches more eco friendly. We are in this together! Thank you for making our school a greener place!
New volunteer information:
We have not forgotten about you! If you signed up on Jaguar Day to volunteer for the Recycle Club stay tuned, there will be an email coming to your mailbox in the next week. Thank you for signing up, we appreciate it very much!
If you want to get to know our team in the meantime, check out the PFC page HERE
For question please email us to sustainability@walnutacrespfc.net.
