Principal Ashton's Announcements

CAASPP Testing: Grades 3/4/5 will start our annual State Testing in May! Please be on the lookout for information from your classroom teacher. It’s really important that students attend school on the day of scheduled testing. We want all students to do their best work and the teachers work really hard to create quiet and supportive testing environments.

Noon Monitors: We have ONE opening for a noon monitor! If you have anyone interested in this position, even extended family members that live in the community, or community college students! Please have them reach out to Principal Ashton.

The Art Show is Here!

Please join us for the 2023 Walnut Acres show on May 11th from 6-8pm!

This evening of fun and creativity is an opportunity for families to enjoy the beautiful work of our talented Walnut Acres student artists. The art awareness program takes place inside the classrooms throughout the year and this incredible event is where we show off your kids’ work.

Every class will have a display and every child will be featured.

In addition to class displays, we invite every student to enter their own individual piece of art. Group or collaborative projects are also welcome. So please mark your calendar and encourage your kids to start making, painting, drawing, sculpting, and collaging their own unique pieces!

Submission form: HERE! AND Entry guidelines: HERE!

Jaguar Fund

We are heading into the final few months of the school year and the Jaguar Fund has reached 85% of our $175,000 goal. Please help us raise the remaining $25,000 by donating today! Reaching our goal is the only way to ensure our students have access to the wonderful programs and support staff at Walnut Acres. This includes math and reading intervention specialists, classroom assistants, STEAM and Science Lab instructors, on-site tech support, Art Awareness Program, Science & Art Fairs, and more. Let’s work together to ensure our kids are receiving an amazing educational experience!

And don't forget to ask if your employer matches donations - this is FREE MONEY that doubles the impact of your donation.

Donations can be made through Konstella here: DONATE NOW

Thank you for investing in Walnut Acres! Together we shine!
