Read-a-thon Continues This Week!
Our annual Read-a-thon fundraiser starts Monday - Jan 12th - 26th.
The Read-A-Thon continues this week thru Monday, January 26th. Students should be logging their minutes read on their envelopes. Envelopes will be due back by Friday, January 30th.
A 99Pledges link was sent out via email last week with your student’s personal fundraising page, if you did not receive an email please let us know. Flat donations made out to students in 99pledges are also welcome in addition to pledges per minute read. Prizes for the most minutes read and most money raised per class will be announced the week of February 16th.

Auction Tickets On Sale January 29th!

Don't Forget! Tickets for Walnut Acres’ biggest fundraiser of the year are officially going on sale for our 2026 Auction Gala, inspired by this year’s theme: White Lotus.
On Friday, March 27, we’ll transform the Walnut Creek Marriott Hotel into an evening of elevated fun—think great food, lively bidding, dancing, and just the right amount of drama (the good kind). All in support of our kids and school.
New This Year!
All tickets go on sale at the same time:
Thursday, January 29th at 7:00 PM
Pricing (same as last year):
-
$150 per person
-
$300 per couple
-
$1,500 for a table of 10
This year, we’re keeping things simple and social:
-
Already have a full table of 10? Amazing.
-
Want to attend with a few friends but not a full table? Perfect.
-
Flying solo or excited to meet new families? We’ve got you covered.
We’ll happily seat you with friends you name—or help match you with other parents, including families with similar-aged kids. However you come, you’ll belong.
Space is limited, so be ready to reserve your spot when tickets open (link shared via Konstella)

5th Grade Dedication & Yearbook Cover Contest

5th grade parents: Congratulate your 5th grader and celebrate this milestone with a dedication ad in the yearbook. Please see the attached flier for information and an example of an ad. You can create and purchase the ad at the same site as the yearbook HERE.
We also need our 5th grade artists to submit their artwork for the yearbook cover contest. Artwork must be on an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper in vertical (portrait) format, and include the school name (Walnut Acres) and school theme (Wild About Learning). The deadline to submit artwork is 12/19. Submit entries to Yvonne in the office, and make sure the artist's name and teacher is written on the back. Emailed entries are also accepted. Contact Susan Heffran or Michelle Lederman with any questions at yearbook@walnutacrespfc.net.
