We need YOU for the 2024-25 School Year

As the PFC prepares the budget for the 2024-2025 school year, we plan to support an increase in enrollment in EVERY class at WAE. In addition, WAE will be expanding Kindergarten classes from half-day to full-day learning. Over 80% of our PFC budget is used to pay for staff salaries, including Instructional Aids – bridging the gap between public funding and the true cost of our student’s education at WAE.

Currently, we DO NOT have volunteers for our largest fundraisers - Jaguar Fund, Jog/Walk-A-Thon, and Read-A-Thon - We will not be able to fund Instructional Aides if we do not raise the funds to staff them. These roles are critical to maintaining the staffing at Walnut Acres Elementary School.

We will not be able to enjoy fun community events like the Ice Cream Social, Fall Carnival, or keep the Library operating for each class unless we have parent volunteers in these roles. Please consider leading one of these great school community events - our students love attending them each year.

How to Sign Up:

Please review the open positions on the interest form, reach out to any of the current board members with questions using our board directory. Express your interest on this form TODAY! The form will close on May 8th.  You will be contacted by May 10th.  The 2024-25 board slate will be voted on at General PFC on May 21st.

PFC needs over 60 volunteers on the Board to help fund critical programs and hold fun community activities at our school.  YOU are perfect for any of our roles.

And all of the Walnut Acres Dads and Grandpas, remember that Friday’s are for YOU!  Come help out at Drive-Thru line.  It’s an easy way to get involved in the school community!

Here’s a sneak peek at who will cover Drive Thru Duty in the coming months:

June: 1st Grade

Important Message! Please make sure to drive SLOWLY in our Walnut Acres School Zone and please observe all “No Parking” signs.  It’s crucial for the safety of students!
