VP Community Relations: Be a community connector! Do you love to network and/or are well-connected in the WC community? Experienced completing grant applications in your day job? Love the Art Walk? Wanna help us bring a STEM game night to our school? This role is for you!
Auction Team Roles
Without this group, we will have a significant reduction in the PFC budget for 25-26 school year, which will mean less time in the classroom for instructional aides, and no ability to move forward on capital projects like updating the school track. And you won't be on your own! We have detailed instruction manuals on how to do things, AND our past Auction Lead will be there to assist and support the brave new leader!
Auction Planning Lead: Are you a project manager in your work life? Love to delegate and work with a team to put on a big event? Pull a team together to plan and execute our largest and most important school fundraiser.
Auction Donations Lead: Experienced asking for donations through your work at a non-profit? Have connections in the community? Lead this team!
Auction Buy-in Party Coordinator: Love a good party... or ten? Coordinate the fabulous lineup of buy-in events! You’ll reconnect with past hosts, scout out new ones with fresh ideas, and make sure all the fun fits neatly on the calendar. It's like party planning—without the cleanup.
Auction Comms Lead: Have a way with words? Help get the word out about the auction throughout the year
Wine Donations Coordinator: Raise a glass to fundraising! This role is all about collecting wine donations for the auction party—whether you're calling in favors from winery friends or encouraging fellow parents to part with a prized bottle (or two). All proceeds go to Walnut Acres, making every pour a powerful one.
Teacher Treats Coordinator: In this role, you’ll coordinate the beloved teacher-hosted buy-in parties by collecting party plans, confirming the details, and prepping descriptions for the auction. Teachers bring the ideas—you just keep it all running smoothly and on time.
Other Positions
Shop and Earn/Dine and Donate: Looking to dip your toe into the PFC with a pretty low lift role? This one's for you! Coordinate with local businesses to set up dine and donate events which brings in ~$5,000 a year.
Drive Thru/ Safety Lead: Are you a rule follower? Passionate about addressing the rule-breaking and drop off safety concerns? You'd be a hero to many if you took this role on!
Art Show: Passionate about art for kids? We have one chair for the Art Show but need a co-chair to make the event happen.
Community Service Day: Did you see all of the awesome work done this year in the D-wing? Lead the team next year who will help improve even more parts of our school!
STEM & Science Fair PFC Chair: Without this role we won't have a science fair next year!
Sustainability Coordinator: Who is a master of the 3-bin system? This role helps reduce waste at WAE events and educates students how to improve WAE sustainability.
Baseball Field: Have a love for the game and want to make sure our diamonds stay ready for use? This is for you!
Book Fair: We have one chair, but need a co-chair to help lead this awesome school fundraiser!
We can all help in different ways. We all have skills and areas of expertise. We're all busy! Getting involved can be hard at times but it is also so rewarding in ways you can't imagine. If you've ever thought about joining our volunteer team... Just do it!
