1. Middle School Back to School Night - Thursday, 9/25

The WCMS Middle Campus will be having its Back-to-School Night on Thursday, 9/25, from 5-7:10 pm. Please see this flyer for additional information, including the schedule of events. This will be a great opportunity to meet your child's teachers, see their classrooms, and hear from our principal, Dr. Peterson. The 5th grade families will be selling food, drinks, and desserts to fundraise for their study trip in Spring 2026.

Please also be reminded that Friday, 9/26, is a minimum day for the middle school (Grades 6-8) only, with dismissal at 1:15 pm (elementary students remain on the regular schedule).

2. Food Sales @ MS Back to School Night - 9/25
The 5th grade class will be fundraising for the students' study trip -- we'd love your support. We'll be selling lumpia ($5), pizza ($3), desserts ($3 - $4), boba ($5), and seltzer/water/juice ($2). We'll be there before (4:45pm) and after (until 7:15pm) - but we encourage you to buy food early in the evening!

3. Fun Hair Day - 9/26
On Friday, 9/26, we invite students to show their creative spirit by coming to school with colorful, wacky, or wild hairstyles!

4. Chuck E. Cheese Fundraiser - 9/26
Join us for a FUNtastic Fri-Yay at Chuck E. Cheese, Pinole (1470 Fitzgerald Dr, Pinole), on Friday, 9/26, from 11 AM to 10 PM! All friends and families are welcome! Mention 'WCMS' when making a purchase at the counter (tokens, food, merchandise), and Chuck E. Cheese will generously donate 20% of all event sales to our PTA! Please see this Konstella post for a printable coupon flyer to bring to the event to ensure your purchase counts toward the fundraiser.  Delivery and carry-out orders placed directly at ChuckECheese.com now also apply towards your fundraiser. You must add the item “School or Organization Fundraiser” to your cart before check-out and order from the Pinole location.

5. Fall Fundraising Campaign - Why I give to the PTA
Hi families,
When I think about why I support the PTA, it’s simple: I want my child—and every child—to thrive. Whether it’s an art project, getting ready for a music performance, or enjoying a new game in PE, my donation helps create those opportunities.  Join me!

7. Sports Committee Updates
Volleyball for 4th-6th Graders: WCMS has the opportunity to participate in the district's volleyball league for 4th-6th graders.  The league consists of 1-2 practices per week from October 20 - December 5, followed by a one-day, non-competitive tournament on Saturday, December 6.  WCMS participated last year and had a great experience!  We hope to participate again this year, but need parent volunteers to make this happen.  If you would like your child to participate and/or you are willing to help coach, please complete this survey: https://forms.gle/EyDiGtDBjqabwciYA

  • Traffic Reminder: there is no left turn into the school from Mann Drive during morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up. Instead of turning onto Mann Drive from Appian Way, please take Marlesta Road to help with the flow of traffic. (see map for refresher) 
  • Lost and Found: If your child has lost something at school, you can look for it at the Lost and Found cart, which should be placed in front of the courtyard by the gate during afternoon pick-up. 
  • Join the PTA: Please consider joining us if you have not already done so! Your membership helps support programming and experiences for our school.  Yearly membership is $16 per person–click here to pay online.

1. Noche de regreso a clases de la escuela secundaria: jueves 25 de septiembre

El campus de secundaria de WCMS tendrá su Noche de regreso a clases el jueves 25 de septiembre, de 5 a 7:10 p. m. 7. Actualizaciones del Comité de Deportes
: Voleibol para estudiantes de 4.º a 6.º grado: WCMS tiene la oportunidad de participar en la liga de voleibol del distrito para estudiantes de 4.º a 6.º grado. 7. 体育委员会更新
