Important Dates & Events 
2/1 (Mon) - 2/10 (Wed) Conference Week (and a Half!)
February conferences go from Feb 1-10. Students will have normal school hours (NOT minimum days as in the past) during the conferences. Thank you to Mona Kashani and volunteers for making possible the daily Conference Week Treats to show our appreciations for the teachers!
2/4 (Thu) Ambry Test Pick-Up 
2/5 (Fri) Ambry Test Return
West students are lucky to be able to Covid test every week now!
West staff will distribute & collect test kits during morning drop off in the traffic line.  Walking/biking students can pick up/drop off at the office. *Please see 2/2 email for detailed instructions.  
2/9 (Tues) 3pm Trimester 3 learning commitment survey due
The survey will ONLY need to be completed if you want to change your child's learning placement for Trimester 3. *Please see 2/3 email for the survey and details. 
2/12 (Fri) West Very Virtual Variety Show Sign Ups Due
West Variety Show is open to 3rd, 4th and 5th graders & will take place online on Wednesday March 31, 2021. If you have any fun talent to showcase - sing, dance, perform martial arts, comedy act - SIGN UP HERE BY FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 12  -  Only one parent/guardian needs to sign up for each act.

2/24-26 (Wed-Fri) 3rd Annual West STEAM Expo 
More than 110 West students signed up for our biggest ever STEAM Expo to celebrate Science, Technology, Engineering, Art/Model & Math! All applicants should have received an email confirmation by now. If not, please email Sue Yeon Choi right away. The virtual STEAM Expo will take place on FlipGrid Feb 24-26. Uploading and viewing instructions to follow.

Check out our latest HTV Newscast where Westies talk legos and walk the virtual catwalk in our very first Mask Fashion Show. Plus, the newscast will get the kids thinking about participating in West's Very Virtual Variety Show coming up in March.

Supporting HSF is more important than ever this year. West is currently at 71% participation, which is awesome, but we can do better! Thank you to all who already have contributed! We are just 21 families away from 80% and really want to get to 90% so we can get an additional $5,000 of extra funding for our school! Every little bit helps! Thank you to Rosemary Chiang, Meriel Rowe, Shelby Van Doren for making Project Replay service learning project a huge success! South and West schools together collected more than 710lbs of Legos!
