Please explore our parent packet(attached) for background on Screen-Free Week, suggested themes for each Screen-Free Saturday (or Sunday) and a list of exciting activities for your family to try out.  This month's theme is Unplug to Play and Unplug to Be on the Move.  Try having a family board game night.  Every family member can choose their favorite game!  You might also decide to spend time hiking, biking, dancing, playing sports and having fun while moving around!

Be In The Know
*Yearbook Photos
With no parent volunteers on campus this year, we are relying ENTIRELY on West families to submit photos. Please send us photos of your students participating in school activities (virtual learning, art in action, spirit days, Bingo night, etc) to WestPix2020@gmail.com!

*Weekly Covid Testing
We are incredibly lucky to have available weekly Covid testing for students.  Test Pick-ups will continue to be on Wednesday mornings & Test Returns on Thursdays by 1:15pm, both at West. For OmeCare Nasal tests, please try to register your tube online first.  If you are unable to activate the test kit, you may print and fill out the paper form (pdf attached) and include it in the biobag with your test.
Any questions or wish to volunteer? Please contact West HCSD CARES Reps Nicole Salama nrsalama@yahoo.com (650) 759 -9870 & Steve Juno stevejuno@hotmail.com (415) 531-4975.

 *Hillsborough Sschools Foundation

Supporting HSF is more important than ever this year. West is currently at 72% participation, which is awesome, but we can do better! Thank you to all who already have contributed! We are just 21 families away from 80% and really want to get to 90% so we can get an additional $5,000 of extra funding for our school! Every little bit helps! Please consider making your contributions today at HSF.org!

Gratitude

Thank you to Sara & Jay Maloney, Brittney & Josh Burns, Liz Koo, and Mylinh Bernardi for all their hard work putting together our first ever virtual Bingo! And a big thank you to all West volunteers for continuing to make West BEST! Please look for other volunteer opportunities on Konstella & start thinking about next school year as well! Thank you!
