Family Science Night - Friday, Feb 1st, 5:30-8:00 pm in GLC

Family Science Night will be here in less than 2 weeks! This is an annual event to promote imaginative thinking and to allow our students to experiment with a variety of physical concepts. The WVPTO has again partnered with Children’s Discovery Museum of San Jose to bring 10 new scientific activity stations. This year projects are focused on air and include CD-balloon hovercraft, self-made musical instrument, propelled vehicles, air resistance projects, pneumatic pressure projects, air pollution experiment, air vortex shapes and more. The FSN Committee also prepared two chemistry projects to compliment the CDM projects.

Students and parents explore interactive stations, where volunteers assist with individual activities. In addition, Mrs. Wendy Chew will have the C-Lab open from 6:30-7:30 pm for our families to tour inside.

This is a West Valley PTO sponsored event. West Valley students of grades K through 5, and their families are welcome, and are sure to find exciting hands-on projects.

Volunteers (both parents and teens) are needed during the event. Please sign up via the links below:
