Hello West Valley Families!
The Valet Committee at West Valley would like to welcome you all to an exciting new school year! We're excited to see you all back, and healthy as ever. For everyone's general safety, please take a moment to go over changes in our valet drop-off procedure covered below. (Detailed information can be found at Konstella > Committees > Valet 2022-2023 ).
Dropping off?
Please be patient as parents, students, and staff navigate the school reopening during the coming weeks. Expect some traffic delays as we all adjust to new distancing and safety practices. Please read the attached Guide for Drivers (pdf) in order to ensure the safe and efficient movement of automobile and foot traffic during the first couple weeks of school! Valet drop off is for quick drop offs only. Please have your child ready to hop out of the car. While you can no longer walk your child to class, you may still park along Belleville and accompany your child to the crosswalks or the fenced area out front. As always, please be kind towards pedestrians, valets, and volunteers; we are here to help you!
Become a Valet!
Morning drop off cannot run efficiently without support from students and parents. If you or your 4th/5th grader are interested in valeting this year, please complete both of the following google forms: 1) Valet Registration & 2) Liability Release. We will set a training day for students and parent volunteers once school has commenced. ***Fingerprinting/TB Test NOT required to be a parent valet.
Co-Lead needed!
As this will be my last year running the valet program, I am looking for a co-lead to work alongside me this year. This will be a great way for you to train, and take over the lead role next year. The work mainly consists of organizing and managing a team of student and parent volunteers. Please consider helping us out and preserving this integral part of our morning routine at West Valley. If you are interested in this position, please let me know.
