Running Club: calling for volunteers

West Valley Elementary

Dear West Valley parents:

West Valley Running Club is a beloved program that not only involves running or jogging or walking, but also music, cheer leading and simply fun on the field.

It will start in early January, and will run 2 times a week during lunch time for about 4 to 5 months. Kids can run, jog, walk, or dance to the music. Those who reach certain milestones will receive awards, and we will have ice cream and pizza parties for the top runners at the end of the program.

However, this fun program won't happen without parent volunteers.

We particularly need parents to come once a week or once every two weeks (depending on how many parents signed up to help) to help kids run, scan their lap cards, setup the music and supervise the crowd. It generally takes 1 hour around lunch time.

We need 4 parents for each running day. If you can help and want to feel the excitement of the program, please contact me or go to Here to sign up. The link has several other open positions as well.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.

Let's go, Wildcats!
