The West Valley Garden is waiting to be planted! Our school has a tradition of using the garden to enhance science education through outdoor experiences, hands on activities and ecosystem observations. How about planting a little garden with your teacher and the kids this spring? Teachers are usually very excited about gardening but they cannot do it without our help. Please talk to your teacher if you are interested in helping out!
Volunteers will be responsible to select a garden bed, clear it out, decide what to plant and get the seeds and plants. We have a central sprinkler system that takes care of much of the irrigation needs. You will maintain your class garden until harvest in June.
For more info and a garden tour, please come to the garden area (left side of the GLC) this Friday, March 22 at 8 am or between 2-3 pm. You can also email Veronika with any questions!
