One month from today, West Valley will hold our first-ever Fun Run during school on Thursday, October 6, 2022! We are excited to partner with Apex Leadership for a two-week program where students will learn daily leadership lessons and complete a fitness challenge on Fun Run Day, all while raising funds for enrichment programs and supplemental staff at West Valley.

The program will kick off with a schoolwide Pep Rally on Monday, September 26. This year's theme is "X-FACTOR" and students will learn leadership principles that help them be the X-Factor that can change the world! Apex educators will visit each classroom with daily lessons and class challenges. On Fun Run Day, students will run laps on a marked course to earn the fundraising pledges they have collected, as well as show school spirit with their class and as West Valley Wildcats!

Before the Fun Run (At-Home Volunteers)

• Be a Class Flag Maker for your child's classroom! Sign up by Friday, September 9 and complete your flag by Monday, October 3. These flags will be used not only for the Fun Run but also for school events throughout the year! Sign up at: bit.ly/wvclassflags2022

Day of the Fun Run (At-School Volunteers)

• Be a Lap Marker Volunteer on Fun Run Day (October 6)! We need 12-16 parents for each one-hour session to help mark lap trackers as students run around the course. Sign up at: bit.ly/wvfunrun2022volunteers 
• Note: This is also the first day of parent-teacher conferences, so the modified schedule will have early dismissal at 12:40pm.
