Running Club

Run! Walk! Skip around the track in the Running Club!!How exciting it is to see students running/walking on the track during this optional structured activity.

The running club is designed for 1st-5th graders during lunchtime recess 2 or 3 times a week. Students can run or walk as many laps as they like. Each lap receives a lap card scan. 4 laps equals a mile. Students will receive different awards when they ready 1, 5, 10, 15, 25, 35 and 50 miles.

There will also be music and cheer leading.

Committee leads are to set up the program before it starts and manage the progress of the program after it starts.

Help kids run during lunchtime (11:40-12:40). Tasks include: - Scan lap cards - Set up sound system - Distribute awards - Cheer on runners

This team will prepare lap cards, plastic holders, lap card boxes (one for each classroom),

Award team Signed Up: 2 / 2

Award teams prepare the awards for runners who reached certain milestones. The team is also responsible for buying the awards and managing them.

This team is to promote the program and encourage students to participate. His/her job includes: - Communication with teachers to report the status - Report the status and cheer up the students at the monthly community gathering - Throw a party after the program is concluded
