One of the most anticipated and loved events at Whiting Lane is the Rock n Run and we need your help!  

What is the Rock ‘n Run?

The Rock ‘n Run is a community event in which all students participate to raise money to benefit
their classrooms and school. On Friday, May 5,  students will walk/run laps in celebration of their
fundraising efforts. Every student and staff member will receive a Rock ‘n Run t-shirt to show
their school spirit. The Rock ‘n Run is important because it provides students the opportunity to
play a role in raising money for their classrooms while promoting physical fitness goals.
The Rock ‘n Run event is completely organized and run by PTO and parent volunteers. The
proceeds from this event allow us to procure essential items including: technology, field trips,
library equipment, math and science materials, playground needs and classroom supplies.

Our first planning meeting will be held on Tuesday, Feb 28 at Leslie Luksberg's house, 83 Walbridge Rd from 7-8pm.

There are both big and small jobs available such as, soliciting local business for sponsorships, assisting with t shirts, help with the pep rally, and help coordinating the Rock n Run and prize patrol!  

Come to the meeting and learn about this great event and how you can help!  Light refreshments will be served!
