Whittier Community-

In response to the upcoming cuts to SNAP benefits (also known as Food Stamps), which will take effect on November 1st, Whittier parent Meena Lenn is organizing a gift card drive to support families in our Whittier community who may be impacted.  She is collecting gift cards to either Safeway or Fred Meyers. You can also make a donation through the PTA Paypal account and gift cards will be purchased (please note this is for the FLASH GIFT CARD DRIVE).  The goal is to have gift cards for families to use this weekend! Please email Meena directly to arrange gift card pick up- meena.lenn@gmail.com.  

If the SNAP cuts do not take place, all gift cards and donations will go to Whittier's Family Support Committee to use for future community needs.

Be on the look out for our annual Helping Hands Gift Card drive launching 11/19 to support our Whittier Community During the Winter Holidays.
