Hello, Whittier families!

We are so excited to announce we've got an estimated delivery date for our playground's new Gaga Ball pit--pieces should be arriving on Thursday, February 29th!

Thanks to everyone who offered to help with the install so far. We're looking for:

• A few volunteers to help us prepare the lumber we'll use for the sides of the pit, including a few cuts, pre-drilling pilot holes, and possibly weather treating wood, depending on the final lumber purchase.  We'll provide all the lumber and instructions and can provide lumber by the end of January. 
• Volunteers for Friday (3/1) during the school day to help prepare the blacktop (sweeping) and install the tile mat safety flooring for underneath the pit. Students will hopefully be joining us to help during this time. Volunteers will need to be SPS-approved since we'll be on-campus during a school day.
• Volunteers for Saturday (3/2) morning to finish any remaining mat installation and install the actual pit, including baseboard frame, pit sides and brackets, and ADA door. Please bring any power drills you have. At the end of this shift, we should have a fully installed Gaga Ball Pit ready for school on 3/4. 
• Please let us know if you have a connection for discounted lumber, we're currently pricing/sourcing 24 2x10x8 boards.
