PNW Parent Education  (www.pnwparented.org) will be offering a FREE online presentation titled, “Youth and Public Safety” with expert Christy Keating.

Join PNW Parent Education for a free online event for parents and caregivers that focuses on the safety and well-being of our youth. Happening on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at 12:00 PM PST, this virtual gathering will be hosted in partnership with Christy Keating of The Heartful Parent Collective.

Through this expert-led session, we will focus on the following:

  • Relaying facts about safety

  • Strategies for keeping youth safe

  • How to talk to youth about about scary and/or overwhelming events

  • How to manage anxiety and where to get support if you or your child are victimized

Whether you are a parent, educator, or a concerned individual, this event is designed to equip you with tools to support the safety and well-being of young people in our communities.

This event will be hosted in partnership with Christy Keating of The Heartful Parent Collective. Christy is a licensed attorney, now certified parent educator and parent coach. She spent nearly twenty years as a felony prosecutor in the King County Prosecutor's Office in Seattle, where she spent the latter part of her career specializing in the prosecution of sexually violent predators. Christy’s 20 years of experience focused on helping parents, kids and teens both Brain and Body Safe™.
