Hello Beye Families!
We hope that you are all having safe and healthy summers, full of family fun. While we are enjoying the last few weeks of summer, we are also looking forward to another wonderful school year at Beye! Whether you are new to the Beye community or have veteran Bobcats excited to return, you are already an important part of the Beye School PTO: no need to sign up or pay dues. The PTO is involved in many aspects of Beye - both the school and the larger community - from classroom grants for teachers, funding assemblies and organizing cultural events, to supporting Beye students and families in need. If you have an idea for an event or program or are looking for an opportunity to get involved, please reach out to board@beyeschoolpto.org, or check out the volunteer opportunities on our website.
If you are ever in need of financial assistance, please reach out to the school social worker, Lori Janu-Chossek (ljanu-chossek@op97.org), and she will work with us to support you while maintaining confidentiality.
Want to know what we have planned for the year? Please join us at our first General Meeting of the year: Saturday, September 6 at 10 am, where we'll introduce the board, go over plans for the year, and vote on the 25-26 budget. We are always excited to hear ideas and feedback from members, so please save the date and, in the meantime, we hope to see you at the Back to School Parent Coffee and Back to School Community Picnic, which desperately needs a volunteer coordinator in order to happen! Dates are listed below.

Tuesday, August 19 @ 1PM to 2PM sharp :: Supply Drop-off
Families are welcome to drop-in to deliver school supplies and meet the teacher! From 1:30-2:30, kindergarten and new families are invited to come together on the back deck to learn more about the PTO and enjoy some popsicles!
Wednesday, August 20 @ 8AM :: First Day of School Coffee
Enjoy a cup of coffee with current and new friends immediately after drop-off to kick-off the school year; sponsored by the PTO. Please bring your own travel mug - we'll supply the coffee!
Friday, August 22 @ 5PM :: Tentative Back-to-School Picnic
An evening of fun, food, and reconnection with our Beye community. Volunteers are needed to keep this event alive! More details below...
Thursday, August 28 @ 5:45PM :: Curriculum Night
Hear all about what your student will be learning with their teacher this year! Fill out this form if you plan to drop-off your child in the Commons for some fun and games while you meet with the teacher.
Monday, September 1 :: NO SCHOOL
Have a wonderful and safe long weekend!
Saturday, September 6 @ 10AM :: First Community Meeting of the Year
Join us in person or virtually to meet the executive board, hear about exciting plans for the year, share your ideas and ask questions, and vote on the budget for SY 25-26. We want to hear your voice!

Back-to-School Picnic will be cancelled without new volunteers
Our much-loved Back-to-School Picnic will not happen without the energy and support of volunteers like you! We have everything planned out—from a clear outline of tasks to who to contact—but we need more helping hands to bring it all to life.
Can you spare a few hours before the event or during the picnic itself? Whether you’re great at organizing, setting up, welcoming families, or just pitching in where needed, your time makes a big difference.

STAFF LOUNGE REFRESH
We've transformed the Beye School Staff Lounge—and it's looking fantastic! Thanks to an anonymous and generous donor seeking to work specifically on this project, the dedicated volunteer hours of Michele Jurewicz, Leigh Merkey, and Louis Jurewicz, Principal Sullivan, and the hard work of building engineer Sue Schwab and her team, Sal, Manny, and Ed, the space has undergone an incredible refresh. When staff return to school, they'll be greeted by a relaxing, inviting lounge featuring updated lighting, cozy lounge chairs and couch, bar tables with USB ports overlooking the trees, updated bathrooms, and a refreshed kitchen area complete with designated lunch prep and coffee zones. The once-tired lounge is now a welcoming retreat—a true space for rest and rejuvenation for our wonderful staff!
