Hello WGE Current and New Volunteers:

San Jose Unified announced this week that there is an additional step for volunteers to complete.

• For returning volunteers, following your renewals, you will need to complete the mandated reporter and safe schools training before your first on-site/in class volunteering even with site clearance. 
• For New/first time volunteers you will complete this once you have TB and fingerprinting clearance.

Hola, voluntarios actuales y nuevos de WGE:

El Distrito Escolar Unificado de San José (San Jose Unified) anunció esta semana que los voluntarios deben completar un paso adicional.

• Los voluntarios que regresan y han completado su renovación deberán realizar la capacitación sobre la obligación de reportar (mandated reporter) y la de escuelas seguras antes de comenzar su primera actividad de voluntariado presencial o en el aula, incluso si ya cuentan con la autorización del centro.
• Los voluntarios nuevos o que participan por primera vez completarán este trámite una vez que hayan obtenido la autorización relativa a la tuberculosis y a la toma de huellas dactilares.

En el documento adjunto encontrará las instrucciones completas sobre esta nueva capacitación, pero a continuación compartimos enlaces directos. Tenga en cuenta que este requisito debe cumplirse cada año, por lo que le recomendamos guardar sus datos de inicio de sesión.
