Community Volunteer Opportunity - Books for Treats!
Thu, Oct 12 3:37pm

Join me in volunteering with Books for Treats, a non-profit that hands out free books on the Halloween downtown trick or treat walk.  In the past,  this organization has given us much appreciated new(!) books for our school Book Swap.  Read below for info on how to volunteer.  Thanks!!  Erica Bulycz

Hello Books For Treats supporter!

We are anticipating handing out 10,000 books this year on Lincoln Ave. on Halloween and we need your help.

Mon., Oct. 30
* 6-9pm, WG Library Community Room (1157 Minnesota Ave— we’ll be putting Books For Treats stickers on the back of all books. From 6:00-6:30 we’ll be setting up the room with tables and chairs. At 6:30 the Boy Scouts will deliver and offload the books. We’ll sticker once they arrive.

Tues., Oct. 31
* 10-1:00 Wells Fargo Bank parking lot (1250 Lincoln AVE). Set up from 10-11, then give away books from 11-12:30, then clean up from 12:30-1:00
2:30-5:00 We’ll set up/clean up at the beginning and end, giving books from 3-4:30. Bring a chair for yourself and park in the Bank of America lot across the street (they allow event parking), not the Wells Fargo lot.

Let me know which of these 3 dates/times you can make.

Thank you!
