📚Join Los Dichos! We’re Looking for Volunteers

Hello families!

We are still looking for parents and family members who would like to volunteer with Los Dichos this school year.

Los Dichos is a YMCA Project Cornerstone program that brings Spanish-language stories, sayings, and meaningful conversations into our classrooms to help students build self-esteem, develop positive values, and celebrate our culture and the Spanish language.

✨ What does volunteering involve?

• Visiting the classroom approximately once a month during the school year
• About a 60-minute commitment per visit
• Reading and sharing a story in Spanish with the students
• Helping create a fun and meaningful experience for our kids

Volunteer Requirements

Volunteers will need to complete San José Unified's volunteer clearance requirements, including TB clearance and fingerprinting.

Los Dichos es un programa de YMCA Project Cornerstone que lleva cuentos, dichos y conversaciones significativas en español a nuestros salones para ayudar a los estudiantes a fortalecer su autoestima, desarrollar valores positivos y celebrar nuestra cultura y el idioma español.
