National PTA School of Excellence
Willow Glen Elementary was recently named a 2023-2025 National PTA School of Excellence. National PTA’s School of Excellence program supports and celebrates partnerships between PTAs and schools that work to improve the educational experience and school environment for every child. WGE and the Willow Glen Elementary PTA are one of only 319 PTAs and schools nationwide to be designated a 2023-2025 School of Excellence.
Family engagement and family-school partnerships are fundamental to what makes WGE the exceptional community it is today. We take great pride in our efforts to enhance the educational experience and overall well-being of every student. We thank you for your dedication to our students and the PTA. Together, we are paving the way for brighter futures and better opportunities for all our students!
Join the PTA
Our annual PTA membership drive is still underway! The class with the most active PTA members by 9/25 wins a class bubble and popsicle party on 9/27. Join or renew your membership here: https://www.wgepta.org/join/ -- It’s only $11/year to join the PTA, and there is NO volunteer commitment required for members. High membership numbers significantly benefit the PTA when applying for grants or awards. Both parents, grandparents and other caregivers can all join. We’re only 20 members away from reaching our goal! Could you register today to help us surpass 300 members? Your support makes a big difference!
Volunteer Info
Thank you to all of those who attended the PTA's Volunteer Night on Tuesday. Per your request, we created the attached document with all the volunteer opportunities in one place for you. The volunteer roles noted with an asterisk (*) do require you to be a cleared volunteer. Instructions on how to become a cleared volunteer with the district are at the bottom of the 2nd page. If you have any questions or are ready to sign up, please email volunteers@wgepta.org
Teacher and Staff Appreciation
Are you interested in leading one of our monthly Teacher and Staff Appreciation Days? Sign up through Konstella by searching for the Monthly Teacher and Staff Appreciation Days committee. Leads are responsible for coordinating donations each month and setting up the treats in the staff lounge on the designated day. Reach out to Jaime Perez or Katie Settle with questions.
