Hello Willow Glen Elementary Community,
The PTA is looking for 1 or 2 parents per class to help out being the room parent(s). Your responsibilities will include:
- Relaying information from the PTA to your class via a quick announcement (usually cut and paste) to your class' Konstella page.
- Helping organize or delegate a couple teacher appreciation events throughout the year (A Week of Gratitude in November and Staff Appreciation Week in May).
- Being the go between between your teacher and the class families. This will vary from teacher to teacher. They may ask for a request to make an announcement on Konstella or may need finding someone to help them make copies.
Teachers will be getting the list of room parents, so they will know who to contact. I am also looking for someone to take on the teachers not in traditional classrooms (e.g. Autistic Program/ Special Education). A list can be found below. Most of the commitments can be done at home and do not take up a huge amount of time. If you are a good organizer and delegator, this a great job for you!
