We invite you to join us at our second community town hall of the 2017-2018 school year, as we explore the issue of class start times, introduce our latest climate survey, and hear about issues and initiatives that are important to you.
The event will start with brief presentations from district staff, followed by a student-led debate on the benefits and disadvantages of the high school start time issue — featuring students from Leland High’s nationally-recognized speech and debate program. The remainder of the evening will be devoted to YOU.
All parents, staff, and community members are encouraged to attend and have your voices heard. Everyone will get at least one minute to speak. District leaders will be there primarily to listen. Comments and speaker cards will be reviewed after the town hall, and responses will be distributed through our community newsletter and posted to the district website.
Please know that while we will not be able to address every comment right away, we will do our best to follow up in a timely fashion.
Live Spanish interpretation will be provided. Child care is available by request via email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
We look forward to seeing you on February 5th!
