WGE Annual Science Night is Looking for Parents who are Passionate about STEM
Wed, Jan 22 4:55pm

Dear Parents,

We’re excited to announce our upcoming Science Night at Willow Glen Elementary, and we’d love for you to be a part of it!  This event, held on the evening of April 17 from 5:30-7:30pm, will be an engaging evening of exploration and discovery where students can interact with hands-on demonstrations and learn from the amazing talents within our community.

We’re looking for parents to share something they’re passionate about—whether it’s related to their work, hobbies, or interests in science, technology, engineering, or math (STEM). No experience is too small, and we’re happy to assist with preparation or minor costs if needed. Science Night is a wonderful opportunity to inspire curiosity and a love for learning in our students while showcasing the diversity of STEM in everyday life.  Examples of parent led tables include a health monitoring demonstration, and an electric go kart hobby project.

So far, we have confirmations from several science organizations in the area such as Mad Science, Mathnasium, San Jose Parks, BrickTech, and Happy Hollow Zoo and we will have food trucks on hand as well.  If you’d like to volunteer, please reply to this email and we will reach out with more information. Thank you for helping make Science Night a memorable experience for our students!
