WILLOW GLEN TIGER PERFORMING ARTS

Willow Glen Tiger Performing Arts is a non-profit public benefit corporation that is dedicated to providing the students and parents of Willow Glen Elementary with the opportunity to have direct participation in, or gain exposure to theater arts in an environment that is fun, collaborative and respectful.  Willow Glen Tiger Performing Arts was established by parent volunteers in 2017, to support the existing Tiger Theatre program and with hopes of expanding theater arts programs at the school. 

Participation in the performing arts has been shown to improve both academic and social functioning and foster greater confidence, self- esteem and public speaking skills. Performing arts also promotes culture and artistic entertainment for the school and community.  

While we are working diligently to bring back our beloved theater program that has a rich history at willow glen elementary, we are excited to offer new opportunities for students including Folklorico dance this fall. Registration will open this week (flyer will be in this week's tiger folder!)

Willow Glen Tiger Performing Arts es una corporación sin ánimo de lucro que se dedica a brindar a los estudiantes y padres de Willow Glen Elementary la oportunidad de participar directamente o exponerse a las artes teatrales en un entorno divertido, colaborativo y respetuoso. Willow Glen Tiger Performing Arts fue establecido por padres voluntarios en el 2017, para apoyar el programa existente de Tiger Theatre y con la esperanza de expandir los programas de artes teatrales en la escuela.

Se ha demostrado que la participación en las artes escénicas mejora el rendimiento académico y social, además fomenta una mayor confianza, autoestima y habilidades para hablar en público. Las artes escénicas promueven la cultura y el entretenimiento artístico en la escuela y la comunidad. 

Mientras trabajamos diligentemente para traer de vuelta nuestro amado programa de teatro que tiene una rica historia en willow glen elementary, estamos entusiasmados de ofrecer nuevas oportunidades para los estudiantes, incluida la danza folclórica este otoño. ¡Las inscripciones se abrirán pronto!
