Dinner & Auction Committee

The Dinner & Auction on March 23, 2024 will raise funds through an auction available online and in person. Goods and services are donated by people and organizations in the community throughout the year. Many programs such as science classes, art, music, Recess 101 and community events are funded through these efforts and are an essential part of the PTA programming needs.

 

Committee members may: support auction activities by seeking donors for products and services, progressive party hosts,  and managing auction related needs; or the dinner event by managing tickets, registering and helping guests, and distributing auctions items. 

Roles are available in many skill areas and varied time commitments. If you prefer to work independently over a long period of time, then donor and auction help could be great for your needs. If you'd like to apply specific event planning skills or contribute for a short window of time leading up to  March 23rd then the dinner event may be a good fit.

Parent Teacher Coordinator Signed Up: 1 / 1

Coordinate teacher and parent communication and activities up to and including the event day. Communicate with room parents for classroom art, basket donations, and volunteer needs. Communicate with teachers to secure teacher tickets. Cultivate an inclusive and collaborative effort to make auction activities as seamless for teachers and parents as possible.

Marketing & Communications Coordinator Signed Up: 1 / 1

Coordinate marketing material and communications on event activities up to the event day. Prepare drafts of logos, flyers, and communications for social media and school distribution. Collaborate with Auction Chair for Board approval of media content. Collaborate with Auction Chair for update of webpage content. Collaborate on auction materials and photos for appropriate and consistent content.

Party Team Signed Up: 3 / 6

Participate in event activities up to and including the event day. Prepare decor, post signage, assemble registration packets, and assist guests on the day of the event. Includes Set Up and Clean Up teams. Expect no more than 3 hours per person to allow for time to enjoy the event.

Donation & Auction Team Signed Up: 4 / 8

Provide assistance to request donations from people and businesses for products and services to donate for the silent and live auctions. This also includes donors for party hosts for progressive parties. Assist to collect donated items, assemble and store, prepare and photograph, write descriptions for auction sale, and transport to and from event location. Post auction distribution assistance also needed. This may be electronically or in person. Tools and coordination provided.
