It's that time of year again!
Today we officially kick off our annual FUN RUN FUNdraiser!
Please look for the flyer and envelope for the PTO Olympic Fun Run that was sent home with your child. Students have 12 days to collect money in person or online. We don't do per lap donations, just donations for the whole run. Due to Covid, the district asks that you not go door to door collecting donations, but just call/email friends/family.
Each child can sign up for an individual online fundraising page at https://app.99pledges.com/
fund/Woodcrest2021. Click add participant near the bottom of the page and then the link you create can be shared to those who would like to make a credit card payment.
Envelopes with cash or checks written to WCSI PTO should be returned to school on or before Friday, Oct. 8th.
You can get in the Olympic spirit right away - each student is also bringing home an at-home WCSI PTO Olympic Family Fun bag, filled with supplies and instructions for a great family fun night or multi-day event! You can also watch our video announcement at https://www.youtube.com/
During the week of Fun Run, we will have a Spirit Week. Dress will be as follows:
Monday October 4th: Panther Pride day-wear a Woodcrest or SLP shirt or the colors red, white, or blue
Tuesday October 5th - mis-matched clothes day, find some tops and bottoms that do not go together!
Wednesday October 6th -Grade Color Day
Pre-K Purple, K-Orange, 1-Blue, 2-Green, 3-Red, 4-Yellow
Thursday October 7th- Neon color day - wear the brightest colors you have!
Friday October 8th, dress like an Olympian or wear exercise clothes to be ready for our FUN RUN!
(No spectators will be allowed during school day this year due to Covid)
Finally, on Friday, Oct. 8th, PTO will sponsor an outdoor celebratory event for the whole family. There will be no access to the school building/restrooms. It will run 4:30-6:30pm - usually we have food trucks, a low-key activity for kids, and run the track again at 5:30. This is not a drop off event, a guardian must accompany students and we ask everyone to maintain good social distancing. Bring your own chairs if you would like seating. More details will be coming soon.
