November PTO Meeting Take-Aways
Tue, Nov 15 6:12pm

Thanks to all who came out to the PTO meetings yesterday on a snowy night!  The grant committee will have a final announcement soon and here are some general meeting take-aways in case you weren't able to attend our monthly meeting last night.

PTO had a well attended Book Fair and Fall Family Night.   Through the generosity of families and with Book Fair proceeds over 300 books were added to classroom libraries .  The curriculum components were well attended and staff members are looking forward to sharing again at the next event.

Save the date for Dec. 10-11 for our Shop to Donate Days at the Northtown Barnes and Noble.  PTO will get a percentage back from all purchases of toys, books, stationary, drinks, made in store or online those days.  Principal Nymann will be reading a story on Dec. 10th at 7pm and other readers will be announced soon.

PTO is looking for more Wednesday morning Volunteers as well as co-chairs for Art Adventure, Wed. Volunteers & Green Team.

There was a discussion about mental health and support for students and parents.  Schools do have some curriculum around this area and the district is planning a family event aimed for January.  If you have any questions or are looking for support, please reach out to the school.
