Join Woodcrest PTO Literacy Committee in a NEW Adult & Child Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Book Club where we will use stories from around the world to explore ways how we can make a difference and help end poverty, improve education, reduce inequality, increase access to clean water and sanitation, protect the planet, and tackle climate change. You do NOT need to attend every month to be a part of the Book Club. Come to any event that works for your family. (You must fill out the interest form to receive future full meeting details). The goal of the SDG Book Club is to blend books and experiential learning to expand our global views together.Join us, October 27th, 6 - 7:15 p.m. in the WC Pina Room for our first meeting. Kinder teacher, Sra. Mraz will be reading our book of the month featuring Mayan weavers from Guatemala. National, State, and Local Award-Winning Science Teacher, Stan Mraz, will be speaking on responsible consumption in schools. **Note: This is an adult-child event so adults must stay at all times.
