Woodcrest PTO annual FUN RUN FUNdraiser, Spirit Week, Fun Run Social

It's that time of year again! 
 
Today we officially kick off our annual FUN RUN FUNdraiser! 
 
Please look for the flyer and envelope for the PTO Wild About Woodcrest Fun Run that was sent home with your child.  Students have 12 days to collect money in person or online.   We don't do per lap donations, just donations for the whole run.  No need to go door-to-door, just have your student call/ask friends and family.  Also, check if your work will match a donation.  Envelopes with cash or checks written to WCSI PTO should be returned to school on or before Friday, Oct. 7th. 
 
Each child can sign up for an individual online fundraising page at https://app.99pledges.com/fund/wildaboutwoodcrest and then the link you create can be shared to those who would like to make a credit card payment.   If you do not want to create an individual link, credit cards can also be used on the general page at https://app.99pledges.com/fund/wildaboutwoodcrest/donate.
 
During the week of the Fun Run, we will have a Spirit Week.  Dress will be as follows:
Monday October 3rd: Panther Pride day-wear a Woodcrest or SLP shirt or the colors red, white, or blue
Tuesday October 4th - Dress your best day - It is also yearbook photo day!
Wednesday October 5th -Grade Color Day (Also  photo day for some-so bring  your color shirt to change into- we hope to have an all school photo taken)
Pre-K Purple, K-Red, 1-Orange, 2-Yellow, 3-Green, 4-Blue
Thursday October 6th- mis-matched clothes day -  find some tops and bottoms that do not go together!
Friday October 8th, wear clothes with animals on them to be ready for our FUN RUN!  
 
Come help volunteer with snacks or cheer on runners  during he fun run.  All visitors must sign in the office with their ID, and put on their name tag before heading out back past the playground.  Fun Run times are as follows.
 
Finally, on Friday, Oct. 7th,  PTO will sponsor an outdoor celebratory event for the whole family.   It will run 4:30-6:30pm - usually we have food trucks, low-key activities for kids, and run the track again at 5:30.   This is not a drop off event, a guardian must accompany students.  Bring your own chairs if you would like seating.   Volunteers will be needed, and more details will be coming soon.

Abracen a su mascota y miren un video chistoso en línea. Es tiempo para las Carrera Divertida de Woodcrest.  

 

¡El evento de recaudación de fondos de la organización de Padres y maestros de Woodcrest Spanish Immersion ayuda a patrocinar noches familiares, eventos de aprecio hacia los empleados, reuniones de padres, ¡Convivencia en la comunidad, oportunidades educacionales, y más! La meta de este ciclo escolar es de 15,000, el cual le dará acceso a los estudiantes a cosas como Aventuras de Arte, Club de Millaje, Ferias de libros, noches familiares, experiencias de Jardín, día de Deporte y mucho más.  

 

Los estudiantes pueden comenzar a recolectar dinero hoy. Por favor regresen dinero y cheques escritos a nombre de WCSI PTO en el sobre adjunto antes del viernes, 7 de octubre. Cada estudiante se puede anotar en línea para tener una página de donaciones en …insert link here. Presionen “add participant” (para agregar el nombre del estudiante) cerca del final de la pantalla, abajo de “group standings” y el enlace que ustedes hayan creado puede ser compartido con personas que decidan usar una tarjeta de crédito. Si no desea crear un enlace individual, tarjetas de crédito pueden ser usadas en la página general de donaciones en (insert lnk here) Todas las donaciones son 100% deducibles de impuestos. Muchos empleadores/muchas compañías tienen un programa donde ellos igualan el pago que usted de, verifiquen, a lo mejor y ellos ayuden a que la donación sea doble.  

 

La Carrera Divertida- octubre 7 

Las familias son invitadas a que vengan a echarle porras a los estudiantes mientras que corren. Los visitantes deben anotarse en la oficina, asegúrense que tengan su identificación y que se pongan un gafete con su nombre antes de salir al área de juego. HORARIOS DE CARRERAS: 

10:00am-Pre-Kínder 

10:30am- Kínder 

11:00am-2do grado 

12:00-3er grado 

12:30-1er grado 

1:30pm-Pre-Kínder  

2:00pm-4to grado 

 

Semana de Orgullo Escolar 

Lunes 3: Orgullo Pantera- usar ropa de color rojo/blanco/azul 

Martes 4: Usar tu mejor ropa para el día de foto 

Miércoles 5: Dia de color, basado en tu grado. Pre-K: morado, Kínder: rojo, grado 1: anaranjado, grado 2: Amarillo, grado 3: verde, grado 4: azul. 

Jueves 6: Dia de ropa que no combina 

Viernes 7: usar ropa con animales y estar listos para la Carrera Divertida 

 

Noche Social de la Carrera Divertida, viernes 7 de octubre de las 4:30-6:30 pm 

Celebren nuestra Carrera Divertida y conozcan/hablen con otras familias en nuestro evento social. Habrá camiones de comida., música, eventos divertidos, premios, tiempo para jugar y mucho más. Corran una vuelta juntos a las 5:30pm. Este no es un evento en el cual se puedan dejar a los niños solos, un guardián debe de quedarse con los niños. Traigan sus propias sillas, si es que se quieran sentar.
