Mileage Club

Begins in April and runs for 6 weeks during lunch recess. Volunteer to track students’

laps and cheer them on as they run/walk.

What is Mileage Club? For 3 days per week beginning April 17th, kindergarteners through 5th graders can choose to walk/run 1/4 mile laps during their recess. Volunteers will help keep track of the laps for each student as the kids are working toward earning toe tokens (and a chain to put the tokens on), cheer the kids on, and make sure they're staying on the course. Younger siblings are welcome to come cheer the students on.  If you're interested in seeing the toe tokens, you can google "mileage club toe tokens." The purpose of mileage club is to have fun, motivate students to exercise, burn off excess energy, learn responsibility and build self esteem. Participation is optional for the students.
