We need your help to keep the tradition of Post Prom alive for our students. Without new volunteers stepping into leadership roles, we are in danger of not being able to run Post Prom in 2027 and beyond.
Right now, we are in urgent need of filling one open chair position immediately, and several others need shadows this year so they can learn from the current chairperson and be ready to take over next year.
The good news:
- Each position can be shared with a friend—you don’t have to do it alone.
-
The time commitment is very manageable. Our committee meets just once per month at the high school (October-May)
- You’ll have plenty of support and guidance from current chairs and fellow volunteers.
Open Chair Position (must be filled ASAP)Clean Up
- Arrive at 5:00 a.m. Saturday morning after the event
- Organize volunteers for clean up
- Oversee take down, storing décor, and resetting the school
Chair Shadow Positions (train this year, lead next year)Library
- Coordinate movies (10:30 p.m.–5:00 a.m.) to match the theme
- Set up quiet activities and charging stations
- Help choose murals to hang
Safety
- Assign volunteer positions the night of
- Organize signage for locations
- Work with chairs on the event map
Set Up
- Organize movement of materials within the building
- Coordinate transportation of materials from the shed
- Oversee set-up according to chair directions
Post Prom is a cherished tradition that provides our students with a safe, fun, and memorable night. But it cannot happen without YOU. Please consider stepping into one of these roles—whether on your own or with a friend.
If you’re ready to help or have questions, please send an email to methactonppchairs@gmail.com as soon as possible.
Together, we can ensure Post Prom continues for years to come.
With gratitude,
Methacton Post Prom Committee
