Principal’s Message

We are looking forward to an exciting week.  We have had a few students fall on the playground because they are wearing flip flops.  Please avoid letting your child wear flip flops to school.

If your child is a car rider, they should be getting their pink numbers this week (if they haven’t already.)  Please make sure the number tag is hanging on your rear view mirror.

On 9/27 we will have an anti-bullying assembly.  As we start to define Woodland this year, we want kids to know how important it is to respect others.  I will continue to visit all the grade levels to generate ideas for the new Woodland Pledge.

Thank you for your constant support.  This Woodland community is a family and every member is important.  Please feel free to contact me if you need anything.

Girls on the Run

Girls on the Run is coming to Woodland!  Starting on February 27, girls in grades 3 and 4 will have the opportunity to participate in this fabulous program.  Practices will be held Tuesday and Friday from 330-5p.  The program runs for 20 sessions and concludes with each girl and her running buddy completing a 5K.  Woodland needs 3 coaches to make this program happen for a second season.  Please visit for more information on the program.  If you are interested in being a coach, contact Katie Shireman, to get more information and get started.  The program cannot run without coaches.  It is a wonderful program for these girls!
