Rosh Hashanah, "beginning the year" is the Jewish New Year. It is celebrated by blowing a ram's horn (shofar) and eating apples dipped in honey. For those families that celebrate we hope you will have a sweet new year.

The Doctor’s Dispatch by Dr. Euker
What a busy week at Woodland. Thank you for everyone who came out for Meet the Teacher Night. The virtual presentation that I did is posted on Woodland’s home page for those who missed the presentation.
Teachers continue to do class/ team building activities to get the students comfortable in their new classes. Unfortunately, the heat has kept us inside for recess Tues. – Thursday. We were able to get out on Friday. There are water fountains outside now so students can get a drink while at recess. We had our first student fire drill on Thursday. Students were well behaved and followed the correct procedures. Remember, there is no school on Monday due to Rosh Hashanah. Happy Holidays to those who celebrate this.
Looking forward to a great year at Woodland.
